    car safe without skirts

Astra mk4, i'm wanting to remove the side skirts for a few days to colour code them.

could it cause any damage to the car while they are off, like rain/ water damage.

    or should everything be ok.

    cheers

funny enough only took about 5 minutes.

underneath set back slightly are 5-6 "plugs" u push the pins up/in in the middle then the plugs basically drop out.

then just pull a bit on each skirt to remove it from the clips just below the doors.

could do with the part number for the plugs and pins as i was unable to get the pins back

90087290 - Plastic pin rivets for along the bottom
90262367 - Single plastic pin rivet for rear wheel arch

And you will probably shattter some or all of the main sill to body clips (5 per side). But there are two types (slide on or bolt on), so you need to get the sills off to find out. It's best to take an old one to the dealer when you go to get the new rivets
