    hi all

    Hi,

Thought i'd say hello, just put my deposit on an 04 Zaf gsi, pick it up next sat.
Have had a Vectra GSI for a while which i've enjoyed modding but wanted to get the wife a newer car to keep her happy!

Always thought the Zaf looked sweet and at last they've come down in price 2nd hand.
What mods should be on the list first?
Anything i can do myself, modify air feeds etc?
After spending a fair bit of cash on the vec i got it up to 208bhp
Seems ironic that i'm now buying a 7 seater thats not that far off it standard!

    cheers..

    Ade.

    Hi and welcome.

Since you have had a fair go at modding your Vectra, I'm sure you can suss out the basic/general mods which apply to cars in general!

    Welcome.

I'd recommend a pre-cat replacement, Airbox mod and remap, should give you around the 235 - 240 bhp mark, and you will certainly notice the difference.

the pre cat is only needed when the car is first made it will pass no probs with out the pre cat as its only used when the car is cold
    LMF do sell them
also i have seen a few cars with the pre cat needing new turbos after a bit as the turbo dose need some back pressure but that could be a + point just buy a VXR turbo
a few other things like bigger air feeds an a k&N air filter wont hurt
then i would look at a exhaust an new intercooler an then a remap
