    contract phones

    does anyone know if theres anyway i can get out of a contract? its 18 months, had it since april so i guess around 12 months left. i know this is bad but could i say ive lost my job and therefore cannot make the payments, maybe they could cut the tarrif down or take my phone back? its vodafone.

    They should be able to change the tariff for you. I used to change my tariff every few months on Vodafone to try and make it a bit cheaper. I'm sure if you explain your situation there's some sort of arrangement they can come to with you. Failing that, if you have an insurance policy, they sometimes cover you for leaving a contract early I think.

    nope not without paying your contract up !

    put it on the lowest tariff poss think 9.99 then phone and cancel think you will have to pay however many months contract you got left so £120 quidd !

    May as well phone them and explain the situation and see what they can do.

    Could maybe flog the phone on and use the money to pay the contract off?

    Sorry to hear about your job mate.

    Phone the provider up and explain your situation. These companies would rather sort you out now than rackup a load of charges then have to pay a lawyer to sort it out at a later date. Be honest with them. If you fear you cannot keep up payments then ask them to put you on the lowest tarriff. If you want to bin it off and go pay as you go then ask them if they can do that for them.

    If you have insurance on the fone then they will pay the remaining cost. (Well thats how it works at Carphone Warehouse).
