They physically fit, but they will be the wrong spring rate at the rear

According to the EPC, some will fit both the Hatch and Coupé

Depends what your car is engine wise and what engine the Coupé has.

It'll make it sit at the wrong height - usually too high at the rear. Fronts aren't usually a problem tho

You need to get the right springs for the axle weight and bodyshape

If the spring rates wrong you could end up jacking up the suspension or lowering it too much.

Ffoeg some of the part numbers for the 2.0 t hatch and the 1.8 Coupe are the same for the springs.

Both share part numbers, just not sure if its the same swap for each end.

Need to see what both cars are.

    eg.

    Front 90541949 used on a x18xe1 hatch and a 1.6 and 1.8 Coupe

    Rear 9118378 used on a hatch and a 1.6 and 1.8 Coupe

mines a 1.4 16 hatch and hers is a 1.8 16v coupe i think or possibly 2.0, i think she just wants it lower than it is

An easy answer of NO then.

Your springs of the 1.4 will be less "springy" as the weight of the engine will be less than a 1.8/2.0 engine. It would lower it, but the ride would be dangerous

Plus the rear springs on your car and hers are the same. so swapping them would be pointless.

Tell her to do it properly and buy a aftermarket set that's designed for her car/engine.
