    lowering

    has anyone got an astra mk4 lowered 60mm all round onto 17 wheels if so could you post a picture

    you have to take into account that different manufacturers vairy on what is actually 60 mill,
    im running on 55mill eibachs but the jmax (iirc) 40 mill springs are far lower then mine

    thanks everyone for pictures and comments just wanted to see the difference as mine is on 40mm springs at the moment but the front still sits too high,

    surely thast gotta be cobblers. 40mm is 40mm!! always has been always will be. surely the figure quoted is less than standard so it'd be 40 or 60 mm lower than standard suspension

    They do vary - especially on those that quote 'fits all astas'

    I smaller engined car is lighter at the front so won't compress the spring as much as a bigger (heaiver) engined one - ergo differing ride heights

    didnt realise that cant afford coilovers at the minute so thats why i was just gonna change the springs for now

    As long as you get the right springs for your car (engine size or axle weight) then you should be OK.

    my astra is currently on pi springs but they dont do 60mm springs so i will have to change to another brand do you know any stockists of 60mm springs ?
