Has anyone else got one of these? I have just installed mine, was very easy and works a treat
If you use another type of VOIP (voice over internet protacol) then what do you use?
Do you think VOIP will be the next big thing?
bt communicator- original and best
best thing for voip is a modem that supports it then plug phone into modem, rather than a USB jobbie.
Though if it was me i would use a headphone + mic combo if using it on pc, same as call center style headset.
We use Skype with some Yakamoto Usb phones for work, since we have a company in Turkey, providing support can be a pain so we use Skype to chat and call each other, damn sight cheaper.
As above, you can buy VOIP junction boxes that turn your exisiting land line phone into a voip.
I'm looking at going with BT Home Hub, which allows you to use the same phone for home calls and take it out to maccy d's and use the bt wireless connection to make free calls (250 mins free)
We are using a full on Cisco VoIP switchboard and telephone system at work.
We have 4 Main switchboards globally with each of them having up to 3 remote sites from each. We can now dial anyone in the company with a 4 digit extension.
It cost about $(US)1 million, but the return on investment is about 12-18 months. That is incredible!!!
It is definitely the big thing (not next - NOW).
0-60 in 6.5 secs and 48mpg- winner!
