Tell Tale Signs of AFM failure

what sort of symptoms would i be getting if my AFM failed?

just that my BMC CDA popped out a little bit yesterday and i had driven the car(all be it only 1-2miles) before i realized it had popped out alittle bit.

im probably being parra! but would like to be put at ease.

    cheers

ment to mention, it just feels slower than normal, is this a symptom.

its idling fine, mpg is fine. i put the foot down and it just doesnt feel as if it is accelarating as quick as it was.

i have the AC on, think that would affect it?

With the A/C on it will most definatly not acelerate as fast as it used to. I think top gear said that A/C units can rob as much as 30% of your cars power turning my 1.6 into a 66HP beast.

    What engine do you have?
    Its a jam thing

lots of different symptoms tbh - you might not even know that it is going until the last minute, but running lean - so performance might increase before it goes................and management and/ or traction light when it gives up.

When it fails completely, the emission control light will be on I think.
