    Question coolant hoses

    hi guys just another quickie i am buying set of coolant hoses off kev is it just a matter of take off put new ones on oh have got to drain down system i hope not
    18/16v mk 4 astra saloon bmc cda a Ffoeg special veccy pipe full catback system full entainment system 17inches lowered 40mm all round

    if you let the car run, but dont rev it. you can sometimes get the coolant hoses to stop running liquid through them. it theres nothing going in or out i cant see why you cant just switch them over.

    dont think it would be a completely dry affair though

    alright pal. do u know what ID the piping he uses is? i bought some red silicone vacuum tubing a while ago but haven't got round to using it

    i dont know dave mate just send cash off for them as far as i know he had the stuff made .thanks ruthless mate but me main reason and worry is will i get a airlock ?

    The odd thing about the front of those 2 pipes is that the header tank outlet is around 6.5mm but the connector on the radiator where it goes to is much bigger. I used 6.5mm Samco hoses on the back one which goes to the throttle body but 13mm on the front. I then inserted a small piece of I think 6.5mm inside the 13mm and clamped the pipe around the fitting like that, it's been on for a good while now and no leaks.

    52 Astra G 1.8, 18" Mille Miglia alloys, 325mm Brembo 4 pot conversion, Coupe leather interior, Raid strut brace, Whiteline rear ARB, Irmscher bits (skirts, Carbon steering wheel, Bonnet extension, M3 mirrors, boot & roof spoiler), Reiger Rear Diffuser & Front Bumper, Koni Adj. dampers, 35/30 Vogtland springs, Duplex quad exit ASCAR stainless exhaust.
