    Question engine clean

    hi guys i have a 18 16v what i am after doing is when ya remove the plastic cover is clean all the metal under it whats the best way and will it be okay doing this
    18/16v mk 4 astra saloon bmc cda a Ffoeg special veccy pipe full catback system full entainment system 17inches lowered 40mm all round

    What do you mean by clean? - just get ther crud off or polish it up

    i get the curd off and get the metal polish and give it a good shine geoff

    The easiest way it to remove it form the car then clean it with gunk/water or parafin to remove all the crud.

    TBH I'm not sure it the cover is ali or plastic on your engine tho

    i will check in morning geoff in a corner with some metal polish
    so underneath the plastic engine cover it could be plastic their to thats a surprise geoff

    I used autoglym engine de-greaser and a paint brush then used autoglym stuff that u spray on and leave to dry and it cleanded up good and my car is 22year old

    Or use acid but really carefully and only if its metal!!
