    Service And Cam Belt Query

Right my car is a coupe turbo, it was serviced at 38.949 for the 40.000 mile service by the previous owner by vaux.

Its now on 39.000 and just looking at the service invoice it does not mention andthing about a cam belt, but in the service book its got Ribbed Belt and a tick in the yes box and its got Toothed Belt And Tensioning Roller but that has a no.

How can i find out it had cam belt done will the vaux garage have the car's work stored anywhere?

Was there no reciepts from the dealership along with the service history? If not i'm sure the Vaux garage will have it stored on their system somewhere.

That invoice is too cheap for the belt to have been done, also it's not listed in those parts, ring the garage concerned and they will have the record of what has been done to the vehicle.
If it hasn't been changed you will have to get i changed yourself, make sure you get the whole lot changed, belt tensioner and rollers and possible waterpump

the cam belt is around the £200 mark - get the water pump changed at the same time too, some times they break up when the belt is changed

I would still ring the garage who have been working on the car first, just in case the cambelt change is on another invoice, worth a call if they say yes it's been done
