    alloys..and tyre size

I'm thinking about buying some alloys to replace my stock wheels. They come with tyres. The present tyres are 175/80 R14.. new ones will be 205/50/R16.

I've used a tyre calculator.. which says I'll have a speed of 57.7mph when my clocks say 60mph.

If I thought about changing the wheels anyway, will this bugger the mechanics up in anyway? Or the gears? As I've just paid for a new clutch and don't want to ruin my car.

Gears and mechanics will be fine mate, tbh is better to have speedo to over read so that when you pass a speed camera at 32 mph you know you will be fine!
