Question What are the best spark plugs?

Just a quick question to see which are the best spark plugs in peoples opinion i.e. VXl's own, super 4's or other types for a 1.6 16v astra mk4?

If the engine is a standard 1.6 16v it depends how long you intend to keep the car.

Bosch Super 4 are £20 and should last 80,000 miles as they're quad electrode. Vx twin electrode are about half that but will need changing at 40,000 so the cost works out about the same.

Probably better to save the £10 for 3-4 years and just get the Vx plugs.

Theres alot of hype about them but, far too expensive for me. At the end of the day they are still only plugs.

I use NGK Iridium in the 888. You can really notice the difference between sparkplugs (unless the ones u have are completely shagged)... for a 1.6 though, your engine doesnt run as hot as a Turbo'd engine so just opt for NGK Platinum ones.

Bosch or NGK are good, I prefer NGK ... I dont like Champion, but its upto u

whats the difference between the plugs though, surely they all get the same ammount of current, so there cant be that much difference in spark.
