Sounds about right - a remap will sort it out.

What do people mean by a remap.. Do they mean they took it to vaux and got it sorted or paid for it from somewhere else??

Im getting a 04 gsi and think I noticed a hesitating when driving.. Is it a normal thing then???

By remap its where a new map is flashed onto the ECU by the likes of courteney, regal, chipeduk, wilko.
gives you more Bhp and better fuel consumption. smooths out all the curves in the map
hesitating is normal some cars have it more than others

The standard map on most Vauxhalls it pretty poop. It's a generic map they use all over the world, so has to account for lower quality fuels, higher ambient temperatures, and different emission legislations.

A remap by one of the local crews will release the power the engine could really do.

Interestingly, BMW map their engines according to the country the car is destined for. That's why they can get 100hp/litre without a turbo no problems, and GM are only getting that with a turbo'ed engine.
