    Is this a scam?

Sorry for the long post by the way, just wondering if this is some sort of scam?..
Well I found a set of GSI wheels on ebay yesterday and emailed the guy about them. This is the reply I got:
    hi,
the buy it now price is 320GBP includding shipping cost.
If you are ready for this purchase please go to
    www.westernunion.com
insert you address at FIND A LOCAL AGENT and you will see that they are
    >lot of western union agentcy near you. Here's what you have to do.You must go to an Western Union office and make the payment on my name and address, after you made the payment
people from Western Union will give you a MTCN# (Money Transfer Control
Number),you must mail me this number and i will check with this number at
Western Union web page and if everything it's fine and you are a serious
buyer i will go right away at FedEx Priority Service and send you the
package and the tracking number from Fedex priority service in your
e-mail to be able to check that the package is in your way. After you will
receive the package you must mail me to pick up the money.

I would of been none the wiser, but never using western union to transfer money before I thought id have a nosey on the site and see if there was an easier (lazier ) way to transfer money rather than going to the nearerst place and accidently/luckily stumbled upon this:

    Consumer Fraud Awareness

Sending money to someone you don't know? You could be at risk for consumer fraud.

The Western Union Money TransferSM service is a great way to send money to people you know and trust. If you need to send money to someone you don’t know well, you may be putting yourself at risk for fraud.

Because we care about consumers, Western Union urges you to protect yourself from fraud by considering the following:
Never send money to a stranger using a money transfer service.
Beware of deals or opportunities that seem too good to be true.
Don’t use money transfer services to pay for things like online auction purchases.
Never send money to pay for taxes or fees on foreign lottery winnings.

    Thanks

Steer clear. I wouldn't do business with anyone who talks about western union payments.

i wouldn't use western union. If you can't use paypal have a look at nochex. TBH though you would be better waiting for a set that looks more trustworthy or someone who is close enough to you for pick up.
