i know its not a vaux but does anyone know about renaults

my sisters boyfriend has a clio 1.4 rt and it broke down the other day.someone told me it might be the single point injection as it would not rev so i changed the single point injection and it did rev but wont tick over and it sounds very loud.ive checked the plugs, leads dizzy cap.could it be the timing on it as about 2 months ago the head gasket went and he got it fixed then all of a sudden this happens.

i think the single point injection i got was off a 1.2 though, would this make a difference as it might not be chucking enough fuel in.

    any help would be grateful

    cheers

Could be a leak on the manafold, or more likely a gummed up Idle Control Valve.
