    Buying a CAT D repaired car???

    As title really... good / bad idea / how much should they go for in relation to the standard never damaged version of the same model etc... also resale?

    if you're getting it cheap then the resale value will be relative to this...if its the same price as any other non-damaged example then its not worth looking at due to resale values...unless its something special/rare

    just check where the work was done and whether its been done to a high standard

    should keep the proton...aint nothing wrong with em i'm even starting to think mines quite nippy! (o'dear)

    i guess its a few k less, say 8k for a 10k car

    oh and on the Drs theme-ive started to think my 1.2 clio is nippy

    Check the repairs have been done properly, as a CAT D doesn't need an inspection before going back on the road.

    you can pick up a lot of cat D cars cheap
    but the cat C cars are also good buys like a LIGHT sriT front will be a cat C if the air bags go pop but can be fixed for £500 + the £2000 for the car = cheap turbo
