    Co Emissions

    Just got my car back from MOT and it failed on Co Emissions too high.
    What should i be looking at to replace?

    either the Lambda sensor (O2 sensor) can be had from about £25 upwards depending on model - I presume u have a Mk3 ? I'll see what I can find. Personally Id whack in a bottle of fuel additive - u can get loads these days that reduce the emissions there and then and usually make it sail thru the test... its upto u which course of action u take all depending on how much the sensor is.

    Providing its a Mk3 then youll be lookin at £59.50 for a new sensor delivered from here

    Might be a good idea and pop into a local garage/motor factors and see what fuel additives they have going - should only cos a couple of quid - pop it into the tank (preferrably full) and give it a good drive 10mins or so and all should be well.... Personally I use Cataclean but u can really only get it mail order or on ebay and not ideal if u need it MOT's asap!

    Kool, On the fail sheet it says the Lambda sensor passed all tests.
    I'll try a bottle of the fuel additive and see what happens, i've also replaced the CTS and Cat but still no joy.
