    Polishing a black car!

Did a quick search and didnt find anything, but question is when ever i polish my Midnight Black astra, after i've applied polish then taken it off, Sometimes I can still see like streak marks or something, dunno how to describe, as if polish hasnt come off fully or something, notice it mainly on the bonnet.
Just wondering what people have to say. Am using meguiars polish.

polish out of direct sunlight and make sure the panels are cool to touch.

Use a damp cloth to remove the polish too. I cant seem to eliminate the streaks on my black bonnet either, although the above helps.

The streaks you mention could be swirl marks which are caused by washing and drying using sponges and chamois.

basically, there are products which will fill the swirls but they will return when the product breaks down.

also what cloths do you use to remove the product?

try buying a few decent microfibre cloths and only use them for removing products, and frequently turn the cloth to a clean side otherwise you will be putting the polish back on again!
