Hire car : Fusion vs Focus...

off to spain in september, 5 of us...which hire car is better...

    1.6TDCi
    £150 for the week

    OR

    1.4 petrol
    £112 for the week

Fusion might have slightly more room but torque of the diesel would be good up the mountain roads

    Which is better?

go with the derv for torque and space. The 1.6tdi will be painfully slow but less so than the 1.4 petrol (with 5 people and luggage?!)

Alternatively, why not see about a Q7?!

Sheik Shabz...now i like the sound of that

diesel seems better...but dunno if its worth the extra £38? I would of thought they'd be more evenly priced...dunno why the fusion is that much cheaper

Out of those two, I'd choose the Focus. That way, other people won't laugh at you
