Talking My day of fun, Changed turbo on my SRi-T

Wow, so happy with the car now!! Spent all day changing the turbo/manifold and its gone from being a potential money pit to

My hands hurt like hell and I have bruises and cuts everywhere but my god, it was worth it. Immediately after taking it out it felt better but the engine light was stiil on (Boost problem say VX) but when I took it out a minute ago the light went away and WOW!! It pulls so well and is boosting like it should.

Well chuffed considering I've never changed a Turbo. Woohoo!

Good work. Did you document it with pics etc? That would be a great addition to the 'how2' section>

sorry to "hijack" a little, and nice one on getting it changed.

but does anyone know if u can put a turbo without it costing too much and damaging anything, on the 1.6 8v engine?

    thanks

Probably do-able but you have to have lots of work done (low compression pistons fitted for a strat plus lots of other bits)

As above really, possible, but probably better off dropping a LET in there IMO...
