fastest 1.4 mk3? heres my pics

afew days ago i changed the inlet manifold on my astra 1400 16v.
didnt take me to long, just gotta get afew fancy silcon hoses now.
it now pulls so hard from 4k, its like a different car!
    opinions?
im now also thinking of getin an exhaust manifold, and a re-map.

C14XE, cracking wee engine. My boss' old Corsa B has a freshly rebuilt C14 in it, and it goes like stink. The engine dropped the timing belt at 35k - though it was 8 years old at the time on the factory belt.

raced a fellow astra. a mk5 sport hatch 1.6 tp. smug looking guy in a suit thinking he was the dogs danglies.
he was in front of me and floored it as we hit the dual carriage way. he didnt seem to pleased when a 1.4 astra overtook him lol

Wouldn't worry about the 1.6 Mk5. I can get ahead and stay ahead every time in my car, and it runs on squashed down turf.

Mk5 is a heavy beast, only go well with the 1.8 petrol or the 1.9D and above. The 1.4 Mk5 is like flogging a dead horse. Less said about the 1.3D the better...
