I would really appreciate your help with something that would only take a couple of minutes of your time.
A group of very concerned residents are currently trying to fight a Falkirk Council Planning application by the SKENE group to expand the quarry that sits in a rural area very close to Banknock. They want to extend the site by 17 acres and build 4 new recycling plants, including a tar plant that will have a chimney 70 feet high and will spew noxious fumes into the environment.
For a full description of the problems they are facing, please visit the dedicated web site at http://www.stopcowdenhill.org.uk Feel free to browse the site, but most importantly, in the 'How you can help' section you'll find a link to a petition which I would be really grateful if you'd sign. As many names as possible are needed to present to the Council at a meeting on 15th August.
You will be asked for your name, address, email address and any comments, however, ONLY your name and comments will be shown on the web site and you can also hide your name which will be replaced by the words 'Name Supplied'. The rest of the information is required to make your signature valid, but will only be used in the printed copy that is presented to Falkirk Council.
Please give your support and prevent the destruction of a lovely rural area and a designated wildlife site.
If you can think of anyone else that would be willing to offer their support then please forward this email to them and get them to sign.
Many thanks in advance,
