    Question Over sensitive ESP?

Hi, any one suffered with over sensitive ESP before?
I have a GSI turbo and when attacking a sweeping bend at say 50/60mph, if I apply a little throttle even in top gear the ESP light flashes & power is cut. I'm sure the car isn't understeering, this is my 2nd GSI & I'm sure my 1st didn't behave like this unless under hard throttle in say 2nd or 3rd. It is annoying because it means I can't power out. As I've said it does it even with a small throttle change in top gear.
I was thinking it might be a faulty YAW sensor? Don't know where its fitted though or how much they cost! The only other option is it doesn't like the front tyres........brand new Fulda tyres on the car when I bought it a few weeks ago?? Still wearing the factory rears though treads ok.
    Any thoughts appreciated!

Tyres do affect it a bit. I have toyo's on at the moment and the esp is little more eager to kick. Have the tyres got good amount of tread?

sorry, re-read post. It could be the different grip levels in the tyres making the car think the rear is bit looser than the front making the esp kick in.

Buy tyres that aren't melted down Marigolds.

My ESP only comes on when I go into a sharp corner way too fast (say a junction or roundabout at 40-50).

What was it like before you changed the tyres? I put Eagle F1's on mine and the ESP was never off, pulling out of junctions, going round corners and roundabouts etc. Changed the tyres to Dunlop SP9000's and the ESP is hardly ever on now, except if its wet and I'm pushing it a bit.
