    Electric heated mirror relay...

    Hi,

Do I need to fit a seperate relay to make the mirror heaters work? I just fitted electric mirrors but when i turn on the rear screen heater, there is no voltage on the heater wire at the plug on the back of the mirror. I fitted a 10A fuse in slot 41 which is marked with a picture of a wing mirror with arrows inside.

The technical guide on here doesn't mention fitting any relays but i know on the mk3 astra there is one so i don't know what's wrong.

I thought that you have a seperate button on the mirror switch for the heaters?

I tried it and it worked fine. Thanks a lot.

Maybe this could be added to the How 2 in the technical section?

If you'd used the How to's here.
It fully explains which relay you need and where it fits.

I agree the Technical Section needs updating as it seems a waste of bandwidth having two areas with the same info in (one being updated, the other not)

ahaa i had a different pdf from that one and it didn't say anything about the relay.

I agree, it's very confusing having stuff in 2 different places.
