Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring

tbh that link u posted is only just a remus race pipe (£67) mated up to a magnex BB and they charge over £200 for the privilege!
Personally Id just get the remus pipe (or several others available by other manufacturers for less) [just a straight thru centre section] and a decent free flowing backbox. will do the same job at the end of the day and for a lot less dosh.

upto u though of course but just expressing an opinion.

there's a company called cybox who trade on ebay who do good deals, and a small outfit called gt3exhausts which i have used in the past who are great.

best off doin a search and see what u can find.

i thought about getting the centre section from ebay like you said. then going down to hawleys to get a powerflow backbox on. i think it will save me abit.

i'd defo go down that route. theres a variety of sellers on ebay that sell the str8 thru centre section from £40 to £70. Personally speaking I've heard a lot of bad reports about the quality of Powerflow but a good custom rear section is definitely a good idea. Have a look and see what they'd charge for the job. Failing that I'd just get a decent off the shelf back box off ebay. Theres shedloads about.

Anyway good luck whatever u decide and keep us posted on how u get on.

225 is still quite cheap as the magnex backbox is 175 and the remus centre is 70 ish

it may be cheap but IMO 175 is rather steep for what is a backbox! maybe just paying for the badge snobbery but then again just my opinion. for the gains youd expect on this car I think any of the lesser priced backboxes would be in the same league as the magnex one.

    again...just my opinion .
    anyway bttt for this fella.

you always pay for the brand name but there are some real s**t about and the sound is usually quite nice from magnex as against cherry bomb and crap like that i spose it all comes down to money and how you want to spend it
