Little help please
Just ordered loads of mods and now thinking of lowering the car i have the 1.8 16v astra coupe looked on LMF and found some for not alot and they lower 3omm all round now do i go for that or should i go for 40mm all round i am only goin to put 17" alloys on the car + and other ideas welcome
if your car is an sxi or sri it is already 20mill lower than normal, so lowering it by 30mill would only realy lower it by ten mill. Because of this i would go for 40mill all round at least
and you get what you paye for with springs
Well, considering he has a coupe....thats not very likely

So if u were goin for 60/40 you'd really have to consider new shockers as well...and therefore a full suspension kit would be be advisable.
If on the other hand you would be happy with 40mm all round (ideal set up if u ask me) then just get ur self some decent springs and get them fitted. As u are only running 17s this will cause no problems whatsoever.
Only thing u gotta sort out now, is how much u wanna spend on springs!!!
A lot of ppl will go for Eibach (from LMF) but I'm not sure if they do a 40 kit.....anyway good luck and let us know how u get on
