fitted me veccy c pipe but noticed a problem

when i fitted me veccy c pipe (as you can see by my thumb lol)

to the car today i noticed that the engine was making a weird ticking noise so when the bonnet was open i turned the engine on and heard air escaping from a pipe

the pipe is split in half and when i pressed the pipe together the noise stopped and the engine calmed down a bit (as it sounded like the choke was on when the pipe was open) also when i pushed the pipe together it sounded as the engine was on the verge of stalling for the first few seconds.
if it would be easier i will post up a video of it if you want.
    thanks in advance guys
oh can i still drive the car or is it too risky?

LOL! That comes with the mod as standard matey! (blood that is)

Personally I would just replace the pipe - no point trying to repair it, sure there a few quid max... (tape it securely for the time being).

Oh and the car will try and stall when the air flow changes, it's the ecu trying to keep up...

I'm assuming it's a breather pipe of some sort (no fluids?), looks like 8mm, cheap as chips, replace it

That repair will be OK for the time being Liam.

at the end of the day a pipe is a pipe! nothing more than a length of rubber hose. so if the I/D is the same then just whack it on - job done!
