Why do motorists feel the need....

...to shout "LIIIIGHTS!" at cyclists when they drive past when: A- its not ****ing dark, and B- when theyre riding on the path?

Im well aware of the 'cyclists shouldnt be on the path' argument but i'd stopped up to check the time on my phone and was just riding off.

I'm a cyclist as well, so here's my theory....

The idea that the car you drive reflects the size of your manhood doesn't just apply to cars - it applies to all road based transport. It therefore follows that anyone who's riding a bike rather than driving has an absolutely huge ****.

The driver, realising this, feels intimidated on seeing a cyclist and shouts out in order to make themselves feel bigger.

I dunno about that theory mate lol
Although it would annoy me to see a cyclist with no lights if it were dark, could be nasty...

Having come within about 10cm of taking out a cyclist with no lights I can put up with it when riding!

been hit twice and knocked for 6, once by a taxi and another by a bus, both commented that i had no lights, being as it was 12 in the afternoon and 10 in the morning i could not see their argument, when your a driver as well as a cyclist it makes you appreciate the vunrability of the cyclist even more
My ambition is to live forever,.. so far so good

makes me glad I can get from home to work by bike and of the 4 miles or so, about 3 3/4 is on a cycle path.

Though there are some right pillocks out there on two as well as four wheels, it's just annoying that the idiots on two wheels give the sensible cyclists a bad name.

Well I have done it a few times have to admit it, once at around 10pm in winter on a really dark road there was some young lad on cycling towards me on the wrong side of the road with no lights!

I dont think its the fact its "not dark" it may well not be dark but the later it gets the more shadows you get, thats where cyclists are at risk.

motorbikes have their lights on in the day for a reason. so cyclists should do the same. but if their to tight to buy a car there probably too tight to buy some batteries
