    Polished

    Im looking to buy a few polished bits for my engine bay. Does anyone know of anywhere that does the bits for the z20let engine. Ive tried places like courtenay etc. Im after things like the crossover pipe etc chromed?

    Glenn yale does shiny engine parts PM him and as for your crossover pipe why dont you try and polish it yourself? use some nitromoors to remove the black covering then polish like mad for the next couple of days using different variants of wet and dry.

    Have the satisfaction of doing work on your car yourself rather than the easy option of getting someone to do it for you, patience is the essence here, it took me a week to get mine how I liked it; and I can say to people yeah I did that, sounds a bit cheesy but worth it in the end.

    You can do it, I did, but it is a long process, removing the black covering is easy with nitromoors but then you have to spend along time with different wet and dry paper to remove the pitting in the metal to get it smooth and then to polish it up.

    Yep it is - mine is very very shiny! - it was chromed in the North.



    I do know someone who has done his own, he dipped it and then got it chromed.
