    blocking off egr valve

    what type of material is required to block off egr valve. Also do i need to replace the egr valve gaskey as well or remove it totally.

    i would say aluminium would be fine. maybe an alloy or stainless if you want to make it look smart, doesnt really matter as long as its strong enough and will not buckle under the heat. yes it will require a gasket to seal it.

    thanks, will use a coke can and reseal with new gasket.
