    career info/advice

    i need a job/ career, how did you guys get yours? got 3 a levels etc i aint thick and need a decent job with prospects, interested in cars, dont mind the building trade and engineering but theres nothing about

    Norm my bro in-law was in the same boat as yu 4 years ago and didnt know what to do

    then one day my nephew fell and needed to goto hospital

    when he was there he needed an x-ray done and that gave my bro in-law an idea

    he just finished his degree in radiography and loves it and will be earning approx £30k

    worth thinking about

    done the whole uni thing it really aint for me what im after is starting off on a decent wage and working my way up with prospects thats why i like the sound of the raf

    Im a floor layer the 4th generation in the family and the last! Id id have choices but obviously it was easy to fall into the family line and keep it going

    parents dont want me to join the army and i live in portsmouth so see ships go past my work all the time but dont fancy the months at sea tbh

    I was set for an RAF scholarship but pulled out at the last minute. That was for officer enrolement through cranwell, there is easier and far more rewarding ways to get in though. Having never served properly i cant comment, but there are worse ways to earn a living - i can guarantee that.

    The real money at the moment is in housing and development, but even that is slowing down now, even more so when new legislation is out to restrict new builds. I started out in the NHS doing IT for them, in hindsight they were the best days of my professional life, job security and decent hours are slightly outweighed by below average pay.

    What are your A levels in Andy ??
