Following on from my 'headhunted' thread...

So I decided to run with the interest I had from the company that wanted to meet me...

I went to the companies offices yesterday in Hook, basingstoke for a couple of tests.

Firstly, the other candidates that had been put forward were there. 9 in total.
I was clearly the youngest there but i wasnt too distracted with that.

First test was a verbal reasoning test which lasted 12 minutes and had 34 questions. I answered 30.

Second test was a numerical test, which had 40 questions and lasted for 30 minutes. I answered just over half. No joke, this test made me think...Im not the sharpest tool with percentages etc either

Had a call first thing to say I got through. Pass rate was 60% and 50% respectively, and I did very well on both

They want to meet me next week, although ive been told from other sources the job is mine if I want it.

Im not one to embrace change etc, so its going to be a hard decision to make. If I do get it, the arsetra will be for sale.

Im not convinced, but thats purely because I feel there is more room for progression and recognition with my current employer.
Ive already been the youngest ever employee, now im the youngest account manager, and Im hitting targets comfortably.

The new package on the table is so good. I get given, for free a brand new 325 sport convertible. if im being honest, that and an improved basic is so appealing...

Worst thing that could happen, has happened. My director has got wind of the situation(incestuous industry) and my name was thrown about. So she has told me the ball is firmly in my court and she is happy for me to listen to the offer. I have reassured her that im not looking to move, but purely listening to an offer.

    sorry for the essay

No need for 2 cars. I would replace the astra with a motorbike as a toy.

True. Im not sure. The temptation of a tax free, insurance free, new BMW every 8 months is so tempting. But I dont want to take the job on that merit.

My Director is willing to improve all areas of my current package to compete by the looks of things.

I did get a picture of the car park at this new work. All '06 BMW's. Outrageous.
