I would like to surprise my girlfriend by installing some interior lighting in her mark IV (TS Astra) (one at the top of each footwell and another two underneith each seat). I have no problems with installing neons/cathodes as I've done it before, however I'm having difficulties with:
1. Where can I discreetly run some power cable from the battery to inside the car (any pictures/tutorials/facts more than welcome), and how would I go about it? I think I've read somewhere there's a grommit?
2. How does this car come apart? It seems as though it's built a little too well, making this sort of thing near impossible.
3. I've attached some images as well, just want to confirm if what I've said in them is possible or I'm completely wrong
If these have already been asked or covered I apologise, I searched but I guess I'm not very good at it. If you can give me any advice or point me in the right direction that would be super-fantastic!
Thanks for reading my thread and have a great day.
PS: Basically I'm primarily after how to get the neons connected to the switch and the battery in this tight squeezing package, what to do to mount them, any special tips/tricks etc.
EDIT: Sorry! Forgot to mention it's a 5 door hatch, 2003 model and I would also like to put a neon or two in the boot area.
