    sticking accelerator

    any ideas as to why the accelerator would stick when the engine gets warm?
    mk3 1.6 16v btw

    I'm no expert but I'd check...

    Idle air control valve
    Throttle bodies (if you have them) More to the point the butterfly to make sure its not gunked up with carbon
    Throttle cable.

    That'd be my starting point anyway. Hope its of some use. Sorry I'm in no way a mechanic.

    Could well just be the throttle cable gummed up with oil.

    My old Clio used to get a sticky throttle, that was due to the oil around the top of the injector pump getting wet, and turning into a gummy sticky mess which jammed up the cable.

    follow the cable from the pedal to the engine.. grease up where nessecerly
