    Mopping

I have a flame red astra and someone mentioned recently about getting it mopped to revive the colour.

Would a bodyshop mop be significantly better than anything somebody could do at home with various products?

Anyone know any good reputable bodyshops in Beds who could do a proper mopping?

I would get a bodyshop to do it if u have no previous experience. Its just a cutting compound... so the fading paint is removed leaving shiny layer behind. Could attempt it yourself with some T-cut.. would take ages though.

I have done that a couple of times in the last year with T-cut and the colour seems to be quite good but after a couple of weeks fades back. Was thinking the mopping would be a longer term solution, usually wash/wax the car every couple of weeks anyway.
