    Wireless Configuration

Had to reformat my laptop hdd yesterday, as I had spyware on it which kept coming back no matter how many times I use spyware killer on it. Before I did this, my laptop was connected wirelessly to a router so I can connect to the net. Now, I have no idea how to configure it again lol. Can anyone point me in the right direction or even better still, to write a dumbass how to here, so I can follow it please

    1: Go to Control Panel

    2: Open "Network Connections"

3: Right click on the wireless lan connection and choose "View Availble Wireless Networks"

4: Select your wireless router from the Available Wireless networks box

5: Check the box Allow connection to unsecure network. Note: Pre Service Pack 1 does not have a check box.

6: Click the button that says connect.

7: The wireless network connection icon should now show the connection.

    Give that a go Al

Cheers mate, but tried that already. I just keep getting the 'work offline or try again' box when trying to connect to the net.

reset the router using the button on the back with a paper clip hold in for 5sec then leave it to re config

then go to start, run, cmd, ipconfig /release, then will all be set to 0.000.000.0 and then type ipconfig /renew then we set the connection back up and then view wireless networks and should detet and connect no problem contact me on msn
