I tend to just chuck a load of tablets down my throat but I often hear people saying that a good locally made honey may help build up your resistance to pollen.

Oh that's another thing. I was talking to my mate about hayfever the other day and we came up with a theory that it occurs cos your immune system gets 'bored' of having nothing to fight so it turns on the pollen.

Our idea was to eat dirt regularly or get yourself a pet tapeworm.

I was told last week by a friend who's suffered serious hay fever for years, that his symptoms have been much reduced this year thanks to an old wives tale.

Have a spoon full of honey in the morning on it's own.

BUT.....the honey MUST be local produce

He swears it's worked for him, but I can't say it's 100% because i've never had it.

I take Benadryl twice a day - they produce two different types of tablets but the ones that take effect in 15 minutes and last for 8 or so hours work best for me. I also have a beconase spray.

My doctor said he has hayfever too and there's nothing he can do about it (he enjoys cricket, that must be a bummer) - apparently steroid injections aren't really much better than normal citrizine tablets.
