    Deadlock not working...

I have just bought my girlfriend an Astra Sport 1.8 16 Valve 1999 S reg. The remote for the central locking works fine but the deadlocks won't work. Ie the second noise when the remote is pressed twice or the second turn on the door lock with the key . Any info would be great. Cheers

Has the car alarm got the dead lock feature? Not all alarms have it. Maybe take it to your local stealer for a tech 2 session?

It's not alarmed standard. They come with the deadlocks as standard I think. You just normally press the remote twice to put the deadlocks on. Cheers

Make sure its the drivers door you shut last, otherwise it won't deadlock

I tried that also, still nothing. It sounds like it wants to go twice but it won't..

Yes it does, if I leave the key in and open the door it makes a noise, I just don't know why the deadlocks are not working for. The last owner has a sub and amp wired in. He has probably done something when fitting it up?...
