I want to put some switches in the wee bit circled in red, how easy is it to get that out so I can fit the switches in?
It just pulls out - best off taking out the ashtray (two Torx screws) and getting round the back at it
doddle to take out, if it was me I would lift out the tray under the handbrake then undo the two screws for the gear surround and then popp out that panel (as per the how2 guide)
Question though, what switches are you planning on fitting, as if you are going to fite heated seat switches, you can buy the correct panel for the job. They come in various guises e.g. TC swich, Heated seats, TC+Heated Seats etc....
Also I think I have either a spare black and or Gun metal Grey Paney panel if its of use to you...? Also have a Gunmetal Grey top section of the console too....
it just flips out with a screw driver. I stuck my windows and roof control there. Also pull out the little shelf thing (2nd din slot) and you can reach round the back. No need to take ash tray out etc etc. Depends on what you do
