Seems to be a tried and tested tool of detailing a car these days. Much like polish is essential.

Going to borrow mike warners sometime...if i get on with it, I shall purchase one.

Porter Cable polishers are very easy to use and unlike rotary it's fairly Hard to destroy the paint as you put it. But like anything you could do some damage if used wrong.

But I have put a lot of pressure on mine before getting some real heat into a pannel that had a deep scratch and it didnt remove that much clearcote / paint and it didnt burn.

They are a great tool, well worth the money.

Have a look on DW www.detailingworld.co.uk be warned if you once you get hooked your pocket will become empty.
