Wilst cleaning my car yesterday i found a plug that wasnt connected under both front seats i was just wondering if someone could give me some info on what this is for cheers
I'd guess its the loom for the heated seats. To get em up n running youd need to source some heated seats or heated elements etc... Most if not all astras have the looms in place like shown in the pic
Being as the plug is yellow I would say they are for seat airbags.
Normaly all airbag plugs are yellow
Heated seat loom is inside the large black connector you can just see in the pic, that's the wiring plug for the seats side airbags, the black block has a clip on the side of it to keep it out of the way.
52 Astra G 1.8, 18" Mille Miglia alloys, 325mm Brembo 4 pot conversion, Coupe leather interior, Raid strut brace, Whiteline rear ARB, Irmscher bits (skirts, Carbon steering wheel, Bonnet extension, M3 mirrors, boot & roof spoiler), Reiger Rear Diffuser & Front Bumper, Koni Adj. dampers, 35/30 Vogtland springs, Duplex quad exit ASCAR stainless exhaust.
Sometimes when i move the seat back the airbag light comes on. but if i switch off an on it resets. local vauxhall dealer said that the thin wires are sensitive!! sorry not much help
found another plug when fitting my bonnet lifters, underneath the coolant tank.
think its for a bonnet sensor...
