fitted vxr actuator and a new boost control valve

Had these sitting around collecting dust and i was going to wait till i was doing the FMIC to do them but the guy doing the map sensor pipe aint got back to me yet so i decided to just fit these

well it is pulling alot smoother and better

also it is now holding the 13psi that courtenay said it should be and not the 12 that it was

so i think my old actuator was maybe begining to weaken

I've got my VXR actuator waiting to go on as well. Has a go yesterday but didnt habe the right ends to remove that bloody manifold.

Why do vauxhall make every screw so hard to get to.

Hmmm might order a new boost control solenoid ready for fitting as well.

you dont need to remove the manifold to get it on

    undo the top screw

jack the car up onto an axle stand and get the bottom one from underneath

then take the bottom screw off of the rod and there is a little clip that holds the actuator in place, this needs to be bent back to slide it out

i certainly didnt take off the manifold

dont get me wrong you only gat a 1/4 turn on the top screw at a time with a spanner but you do get there

Would it not be easier to just remove the manifold if you want to do it from above?.. + I dont have axle stands.....
