    Smile Alpine Ipod Interface Question

    Hi Guys

    I've got the following headunit:-

    Alpine 9857R

    And want to be able to use it with my ipod nano, It says that i need the following interface:-

    KCA 420 I

    I was just wondering if there is a cheaper option that you may know of.. I've seen this on ebay:- And was wondering if there is part like this that can be supplied from the UK:-

    That link at the bottom shows a Alpine AI-NET - AUX input adaptor that you can get in the UK Here Part number's a Alpine KCA-121B

    You wouldn't be able to control the ipod from the headunit though that could in turn be dangerous

    Now I'm not actully sure why the KCA 420i is £60.00? better build maybe..

    The KCA 420i is alot more expensive because it tranferes control of the ipod to the headunit where as that aux input lead will only play the sound through the headunit
