    anyone use bittorrent?

    my download speeds ar sooo slow! like 10 kb/s! is it meant to be this slow or are there some settings to be altered?

    Sometimes they start of slow but when you have more to share they speed up. It all depends on what people are sharing it at to

    Have you got a router? You might need to use port forwarding if you have.

    sounds like your are uploading to fast if the d/l rate is slow, what d/l manager you using?

    I was experiencing this issue too, then i start using BitLord and it made loads of difference.

    all depends how many people are seeding the file compared to how many people are downloading it. I use azureus and don't have any problems with it.

    i use utorrent its ok but does d/l slow most of the time but it does depend on how many seeds you have

    Open the ports through and things will speed up. Also depends on the time of day, I get faster downloads during the night and early morning, as that's when all the yanks are on seeding
