Today myself and Martin (Marv) went to the Vauxhall Recreational Centre to give a presentation to an association
As of today we are now on a probation period to be apart of the Vauxhall Bedford and Opel Association
For those that are unaware of what the stands for and what it achieves have a look at there website:
Becoming a member of the VBOA is a real privilege for this community and great next step for the club, we are now officially part of the vauxhall community and recognised throughout the world
There are so many advantages to us becoming a member of the association, most of which you will not really see, however the main one that you will notice is that we will be able to have a club stand at this years VBOA Rally at Aquadrome on the 7th-9th July.
For those that have never been its a great very relaxed family show that brings together owners from all over the world to get as many different vauxhall models together, its the most respected show date on the calender through out the vaux community and indeed in europe as far as the UK is concerned.
As we are new we have the space for 15 cars only for a our first year These spaces are going to be picked by ourselves to make sure we have a good cross section of cars on display. However we would really like you to support the event as much as possible, so even if you are not showing please come to the event and come and say hello. Members of the team and the owners of the cars on display will be there all weekend, so please show your support for the club and for the VBOA.
If you want to camp for the weekend then we are going to try and camp together, so you are more than welcome to make the most of it and have an enjoyable weekend
Like I have said above we have very limited space for the show but if you would like to come and show then please add your name and we consider all members. You must be adamant you are coming for the full weekend though as it would be a really shame to have spaces not taken for this event
For more information have a look on the VBOA site (link posted above).
I would like to take this opportunity to thank a few people..
First of all Martin (Marv) who came today and was tremendous support and help, this wouldn't have happened without him today.
Malc from Vauxhall Vectra Owners Club (vvoc) he has been a god send for advice and information and more importantly for fighting our corner Cheers Malc I really appreciate it
Tom Williams from Mig Club again great support and another supporter of the club. Thanks for the questions it made me get a few points across
Of course John (M40COO) for the words of advice and looking through the presentation speech etc, it was a shame you wasn't able to make it but its a long way for a couple of hours
A good friend of mine Seb, he knows why
and of course lastly to the VBOA for accepting us on probation into the association I am sure we can all work together to aim for a stronger better vauxhall community
