    Question mk4 lowering

    how much lower are the 1.8 16v sxi's 2000 w reg compared tothe standard astra?? is 60mm to much tolower it?

    if anyone has picture of there astras lowered 4omm and 60mm (mk4s) please post them so i can see wat to go for.

    if you were to lower it 60mm, it would be 60mm lower then the standard astra, its not added on to the shorter springs already in place as they are removed.

    PS i dont know if the sxi is already lower

    The sxi is 20mm lower as STD.

    You can go 60mm but will need uprated shocks for anything over 40mm.

    depend's on offset and tyre width on your wheel, 60 on back and you might rub on the rear bumper bracket...

    mine's 60 front, 40 rear with 215/35/18's, catches slightly on rear bracket, so 60 on 17's?????

    what 17s do you have? Std Astra 17s on a 60 drop should just about be okay if the tyre profile is correct. 215 /40 /17 is it?

    And you should be able to mod the bracket

    i have 18's x 8j and it catches bracket sometimes wi just 2 in...

    17's on a 60 i'm guessing would be the same, they'd be well up in the arch.

    my sxi was 40mm front and rear on 17's and was spot on even with a full car, only went 60 front this time to level of the gap in the front arches.

    and yeah, 215/40/17 sound right, cant remember if above was 45 though...

    i gonna have a play wi my rear bracket too though, i'd prob go 60 rear if could but i've had a look and dont know how it could be moddified or moved??? prob stick 40 rear me...
