    Bonnet lifters on carbon bonnets

alright boys and girls, i've encountered a little problem. when i test fitted my carbon bonnet last week, i used my existing bonnet lifters but they're to strong for my lightnede bonnet. it flies up like mad and it wont go down. i tried just one strut and this is a bit to stiff too. any ideas? (i'll ignore the ones saying get rid of the carbon bonnet!!!)

there must be different lifters with different pressures surely??? if you fit ones with less pressure then they should close.

myabe boot lifters? bonnets heavier than a boot? try them.

This is just a guess so no slaggin if im wrong

i'd say a boot was heavier than a bonnet

...would have thought the boot is heavier due to the weight of the glass, compared to a sheet of metal.

do they seriouslu not go down? i managed to compress one by hand (bloody hard things aren't they though ) so i can't imagine it's that hard to pull the bonnet down with the assisting weight and leverage....

i'd consider trying some boot struts, iirc they are easier to compress (it's not all about weight, but leverage points too) but bear in mind they may possible be too long or too short to fit (you'll want to break out the tape measure first)

also boot struts are usually marked in nm's (or N), the signum is 0700N if I recall... maybe look at an Agila set?

Would a set from the nova or corsa be better?
    try heavely oiling the lifters.
