    thinking about selling the GSI

im really not sure what to do

I said for ages before i got the gsi that i wanted a jap 4wheel drive turbo
somthing along the lines of a celica GT4 or an evo or that sort of thing

I still love the gsi and if i changed it i would be going to an older car
but im just one of these people who can keep a car long

    so what do people think?

I was thinking of getting an EVO before i bought the GSI but didnt get it because running costs would be to high on an EVO.

i say go for it mate. the jap cars for example a Celica GT4 is a very good car, you can pick them up for pretty cheap now too. But if youve got the money i say go for an evo 5 or 6. they are relatively cheap now too (for what youre getting-after a remap and airflow sorted out youl have a porsche beater)
    BUT
like chris said the running costs are very high, so you have to weigh that up aswell

Having just come from a 280bhp celica gt4 st205 to a coupe turbo i think i am in a good position to comment!!
The celica is a great car, easy to tune and good power in standard form, however, although you can now pick them up cheap they arnt cheap to run, prob used twice as much petrol. parts are also a lot more for the celica.....however it was a fantastic car and i do miss it.
Basicly if you can afford it, go for it..... gt4oc.net is great site for gt4 info....

Make sure you check the car THOROUGHLY full history if poss when going for jap car. my mate bought an evo same time i got my gsi, i have got couple mods done and the car's sit side by side when racing just he can corner better at min.
Anyway, it will be hard to find a decent one unless you go for 6 or higher as there all imports on the 4's and most of them have been ragged to death.
His evo is now sitting in the garage, engine blew gonna cost him about £1200 to rebuild top end.
And don't buy from a garage run by Asian's they know shite all about them.
