    Info needed on BMW 3 Series

    Thinking of going to have a look at a bmw 320d and want some info on them, whats reliablity like etc and how expensive are parts if something did happen. model i'm looking at is a w reg with around 50k on the clock.

    Pretty reliable mate, parts and servicing aren't anywhere near as much as people make out. 50K is pretty low milage for a W-reg, shouldn't be any worries. Just check to see when the next service is due and which one it is. Not sure on the diesel models but petrols have a major service around 55-60K.

    Parts and servicing are only resonable if you use a independant specialist, go to a main dealer and you will pay big time I know I have owned two BMW's in the last 5 years. As say 50k mileage is nothing there was 97k on mine last one when I sold it and it was still going strong

    Prices arent the cheapest on parts, but as youd expect on a not very cheap car. The left hand part of a grille on an X5 is about £60 i think.
