Help please! fitting total closure kit!

Hi everyone i am in the process of fitting my total closure kit( the one off the guy on ebay everyone gets theirs off). he hasnt inculded instructions for an astra only vectra. now he says its the same but different clour wires.

two wires are fine the ground and power but im stuck on the others. ( have emailaed the guy but i knows hes quite slow at replying and i wanted to fit it today if poss).

i cant post the pics as i think hes prevented hotlinking.

but on the kit there are 4 wires: red(power), black with ring(ground) those i can do also on kit there are brown and blue.

so which wires do i connect the brown and blue to. for the vectra is says to connect :
    • brown (on kit) to brown/black
    • and blue(on kit) to black/blue.

so anyone whis fitted this to an astra please help which wires do i connect blue and brown to??

lol im going through this now also.

On mine, the blue went to the black/blue on the 2nd connector (nearest the front of the car), and the brown onto the yellow/red of the 2nd connector (as per the astra-sport guide, cos i had no brown/black.

Now thats done though, the kit is closing for a small amount of time, like half a second then stopping. Its putting the windows back up about an inch then stopping. I've double checked all the crimps and it seems now all that is in the right place, the unit is oviously getting power and working with the cables, but stopping to early.

    wtf tbh

I think its a problem with the way the windows work on various astras.

I've noticed on sum vauxhalls, you 'tap' the window button and it goes all the way up, on sum you hold the button for about a second and it will roll all the way up. Obviously what this total closure kit is doing, is 'tapping' my up button so to speak, whereas my one needs to be held for about a second to roll up. Thats what it seems like to me. I've tried 'resetting' them also with no luck.

MIght open the closure kit later see if theres any bits from maplins that will extend the 'tap' length.

It will only work if you have the "one touch up" facility on the windows, otherwise it will only raise the windows a little as it simulates the one touch up and closes the windows etc.....

Assuming it's an AstraG the Central Locking connections are the same as for the Vectra.

The Brown/black is probably Red/Yellow on the Astra (sunroof closure) but same pin.

It operates the convenience closure line on the window motors (and roof).
